After Twitter changed some things, Bitter was offline for a few days, but it’s back and logging in. There’s also a little thing called list support in there for ya. It’s not what you might say “fully featured” as far as you can’t add or remove people to/from lists, but you can open pre-existing lists. We’ll get that other stuff later on.

As I’m sure you already know, Twitter turned off basic authentication yesterday which broke Bitter. I had been working on OAuth support for the past few weeks, but didn’t get it all done until today. Woops!
New features:
- OAuth support… that’s it!

Twitter changed their login mechanism which broke Bitter. So I got out v2.1.9.1 to fix this. The full release post will come shortly. For this to work though, if you’re still logged into Bitter, you can do the regular auto-update. If you’re not logged in, you have to download it from the site. Yeah, it sucks. Sorry. Anyway… http://bitterware.com/download.html

Had an exception being thrown when first starting the app for new users (from UserVoice), so I fixed that and also removed a dead link.

After rearchitecting a lot of the internals of Bitter, I started working on some features that I’m actually really liking. In the next version, you’ll be able to follow a hash tag in a tab and you’ll have a tab that contains all recent tweets that had a link in them. Conveninent to find past links when you need them or just to see what’s been posted. Anyway, stay tuned!

Bitterware has been redesigned. Anyone with two eyes will agree that it’s 97% better than the previous version. As you can tell, there’s lots of changes to the site and lots of changes to the app. Expect more coming soon…
